FAWCO — Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas Inc.
______

Once you become a member of the American Women's Club of London, you automatically become a member of FAWCO — an international network of volunteer clubs and associations with 10,000 members worldwide. All you need to do is register on their website.

FAWCO was founded in 1931 by Caroline Curtis Brown, President of the American Women's Club in London, who believed that enlightened women, working cooperatively throughout the world, could do much to help achieve international peace.

The FAWCO network includes 60 clubs in 31 countries. It serves as a resource and a voice for its members; and seeks to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide, especially in four key areas:

● Education

● The environment

● Health

● Human rights

Additionally, FAWCO advocates for the rights of U.S. citizens overseas and contributes to the global community through its Teams and The FAWCO Foundation, which provides development grants and education awards.

AWC Educational Resources:

To support our club’s mission of being a welcoming and inclusive environment for all women, we have compiled this list of educational resources recommended by AWC members. As we learn together, we’d like to grow this library, so please share your suggestions. We will also be pointing you to FAWCO's international resources to broaden perspectives, so stay tuned...
